TIPS WITH A GARBAGE DISPOSAL
-
Do not put your hand into the disposer.
-
Do not put bones, metal or stringy material down garbage
disposer.
-
Keep hard objects out. This includes plastic, rubber & metal as
well as bones & gristle unless your owner's manual says you can put them down.
-
Use a strong flow of cold water when grinding waste. The cold
will help harden grease so that it doesn't clog the disposer or drain line. The
water flow will make sure the ground up waste passes into the sewer & doesn't
clog your drain lines.
-
Leave the water running for a minute after you finish grinding.
-
Do not use chemical drain cleaners in the disposer.
Garbage Disposals We Recommend
Another under appreciated workhorse of the Home or Business, we have only supplied and installed one Brand of Disposal. In our opinion Insinkerator is the only way to go! They have the track record to prove they are the best!
They don't dominate a kitchen like a massive refrigerator. They
don't feature elaborate control panels like a microwave oven. But InSinkErator
food waste disposers take their rightful place of honor in kitchens around the
world. Day after day, perhaps more often than any other appliance, they bring
convenience and practicality to everyone in the home.
With an InSinkErator® food waste disposer in your kitchen, chicken bones, fruit
rinds, coffee grounds and more can go right in the sink -- where they're
virtually liquefied to safely flow into your sewage system or septic tank.
You'll enjoy a cleaner food preparation area, and less bagged garbage cluttering
your home.
What's more, if you've never owned a food waste disposer, you're in for a
pleasant surprise. InSinkErator® disposers are economical to operate: in fact,
they're among the least expensive installed kitchen appliances.
